Germany’s Phillip Kohlschreiber was married on a match day, and has no plans for a honeymoon. The German married longtime fiancĂ© Lena Alberti, and not long after fell to Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin, 5-7 6-3 6-1, at the Generali Open in Kitzbuhel, Austria.

To make matters for better or for worse (get it?), the German was suffering from illness on his big day.

He said he stayed in the tournament, which he won for the second time in 2017, because it is his home tournament and he had friends and fans in attendance.

As far as the honeymoon goes, that’s on the back burner.

“We’ve been together for so long, we do not really know that yet,” he said according to the Austrian newspaper Kurier. “Of course we’re flying somewhere at the end of the year, maybe we’ll get a special deal for honeymoon.”
