If you're holding your breath in hopes Great Britain's Davis Cup triumph will inspire growth in British player development, time to exhale.

Andy Murray, who carried Great Britain to its first Davis Cup championship in 79 years with a 3-1 victory over host Belgium last weekend, is so pessimistic about the LTA's player development, he calls it a waste of time to talk about it.

"Nothing ever gets done and I don't like wasting my time," Murray said in comments published by the BBC.

The 2013 Wimbledon winner said he has not had discussions with LTA officials over the lack of British juniors making inroads at junior Grand Slams.

"I don't speak to any of the people who are in a high-up position about that," Murray said. "I haven't really spoken to them about anything. It's concerning not to have any juniors in the Grand Slams because that is something we were always very good at. It's not ideal."
