Ajla Tomljanovic will take on Maria Sharapova in Abu Dhabi next week.
The Australian baseliner has replaced the injured Amanda Anisimova in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

The Sharapova vs. Tomljanovic match is set for Thursday, December 19th.
"I’ve heard amazing things about Abu Dhabi and the championship, and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of this crowd against Maria," Tomljanovic said. "It will give the perfect challenge ahead of a big season.”
Anisimova withdrew from the event with an injury.
“It’s really disappointing to have to withdraw from the Mubadala World Tennis Championship," Anisimova said. "I was looking forward so much to coming to Abu Dhabi and I hope to make the trip in the future.”
