Sam Querrey can be intimidating at the service line. He's pretty sharp at the free-throw line too.
The 6-foot-6 Querrey possesses shooting guard size and showed a soft touch during this free-throw shoot-out against compatriot Robby Ginepri at halftime of the Memphis Grizzlies-Atlanta Hawks game.
Querrey, who plays Benjamin Becker in his Memphis opener tonight, comes from an athletic family. His father Mike was drafted by the Detroit Tigers and sister Ellen is a volleyball player.
Ginepri came up short in the tournament, falling to compatriot Denis Kudla, 6-3, 6-4, in the final round of qualifying on Monday.
