Second Serve

Oliver Marach and Fabrice Martin have quite the connection. The recently formed duo has now won 11 of 14 matches and two titles since joining forces at the beginning of the year. The pair saved six match points over the course of their 3-6, 7-6(7), 13-11 victory over the Bryan Brothers, and they pulled off this magnificent rally on championship point to seal the Delray Beach Open doubles title.

The French-Austrian saved a match point late in the second set before escaping five more in the match tiebreak. They denied the Bryans their 110th title. The legendary twins have not held a trophy aloft since last summer in Montreal.

“We always thought we had nothing to lose,” Martin said. “We knew we were going to make it a good match. We gave it everything we had, and we got a bit lucky in the end.”
