It’s no secret that Jack Sock has had his struggles on the singles court. But Nick Kyrgios and his brother Eric Sock are tired of the media’s portrayal of the current World No.2 in doubles and today they took to Twitter to voice their grievances.

Kyrgios responded with an angry tweet in response to a video feature put out by the Tennis Channel, saying that “Creating a story about someone’s struggles and difficulties is just so messed up, not to mention he has achieved probably 40x what anyone who was involved in making this trash has.”

Later in the day Sock’s brother Eric took to Twitter to castigate certain members of the media for reporting that Sock had injured his finger in a snowboarding accident. Apparently, this is not the case.

“Shame on y’all for publishing fake news without a statement directly from his camp,” Sock wrote on Twitter. “Skiing accident? Snowboarding accident? WTH? He was injured working out in Melbourne.”

The news was reported yesterday on Tennis Channel, but other sources had mentioned Sock’s surgery, with snowboarding as the cause, prior to Thursday.

We have heard no official word from Tennis Channel on the subject, and no official word from Sock’s camp about the nature of his injury.
