Daniil Medvedev has accomplished a lifelong dream. The Russian takes over the ATP’s No.1 ranking on Monday February 28, becoming the 27th man to ever hold the top spot – and, at 6’6” the tallest No.1 in ATP history.

Medvedev ends Novak Djokovic's run at No.1 at a record 361 weeks overall.

Medvedev has his mind on other things at the moment, however. On Sunday he took to social media to post in the name of peace, asking for “peace in the world, peace between countries," and continuing with a shout out to future generations.

"Kids are born with inner trust in the world, they believe so much in everything. In people, in love, in safety and in justice, in their chances in life. Let’s be together and show them that it’s true, because every kid shouldn’t stop dreaming.”

Nadal up to No.4

Rafael Nadal climbs ahead of Stefanos Tsitsipas in the ATP rankings, reaching back to No.4, while Andrey Rublev also rises one spot to No.6. The Spaniard is 15-0 on the season with three titles, after winning his 91st ATP title on Saturday at Acapulco. He had never previously started a season with more than 11 wins in succession.

Vesely and Martinez biggest risers

On the strength of his run to the Dubai final, Czech Jiri Vesely picks up 49 spots to rise to No.74, while Spain's Pedro Martinez, who won the title at Santiago on Sunday, jumps from 72 to 50 to make his Top-50 debut.

Also making big jumps were Chile’s Alejandro Tabilo, who makes his Top-100 debut at 98 after reaching the Santiago semifinals, and Sebastian Baez - the argentinian hits another career-high ranking at 62 after playing his first career final at Santiago.

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, who made his Top-20 debut last week, becoming the youngest active player to ever crack the milestone, rises one more spot to No.19.
