Novak Djokovic’s 2022 season – finally – is set to begin, and the World No.1 will start with a first-round match against Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. The Serb defeated Musetti last year at Roland-Garros, when he rallied from two sets down to win 6-7(7), 6-7(2), 6-1, 6-0, 4-0 RET.
The five-time champion is 41-6 lifetime at the event, having last won the title in his last appearance in 2020 (d. Tsitsipas in the final).
