Juan Martin del Potro is set to begin his comeback from a fractured patella at this year’s Delray Beach Open in the third week of February.

Comebacks at Delray Beach are becoming a tradition for the 2009 U.S. Open champion. It was 2016 when Del Potro returned after nearly a year off the tour due to three wrist surgeries on his left wrist and reached the semifinals.

The World No.5 is scheduled to headline and play his first-round match on February 19th.

“I have great memories of Delray Beach and the fans, from winning the title in 2011 to starting my comeback here in 2016,” said the Argentine. “This city will always be a special place for me.”

Del Potro, who won the event in 2011, will join a field that included Kevin Anderson, Milos Raonic, Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrgios.
