Karen Khachanov has returned to Head.

The 22-year-old Russian has signed a long-term deal to play with Head racquets, the brand announced.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Khachanov was a member of Team Head until 2015. He played with the Wilson Blade in recent years.

"This is fantastic news," Head CEO and Chairman Johan Eliasch said in a statement. "At Head, our focus is and always will be on the high performance of our products. We collaborate very closely with players in order to bring the best tennis gear to our consumers.

"Karen is one of the rising stars on the Tour and we are absolutely convinced that he has a great career ahead of him. We are very proud to welcome him back into the family."

Khachanov is coming off a breakout season.

In November, he defeated world No. 1 and fellow Head player Novak Djokovic to capture his first career Masters 1000 title at Paris-Bercy. Khachanov also won the ATP-250 tournaments in Marseille and in his native Moscow earlier in the year.

"He can really hurt you," Djokovic said after the Bercy final. "His serve is really, really strong and precise."
