Pliskova: Good Revenge To Play Serena

Karolina Pliskova vividly recalls being rolled by Serena Williams in the US Open quarterfinals last September.

The seventh-seeded Czech seeks to serve up revenge when she squares off with Serena in the Australian Open quarterfinals.

Djokovic: Breaker Best Decider

"We played US Open. I didn't play well that match, so for sure would be good revenge to play her again," Pliskova said. "Different conditions here. I think I'm playing a little bit better than I was last year, so looking forward."

Pliskova can look back on the fact her lone win over the 23-time Grand Slam champion came in a Grand Slam.

Pliskova powered past Williams, 6-2, 7-6 (5) in the 2016 US Open semifinals.

Both Pliskova and Williams are two of the biggest servers on the WTA Tour.

Interestingly, neither is the ace leader at this Australian Open.

Aussie No. 1 Ash Barty has hit a tournament-best 30 aces. In contrast, Pliskova has cracked 25 aces and Williams has hit 21 aces.
