The World No.360 laid out fully to make this incredible dive volley (that’s a gritty hard court y’all) against South Korea’s Hyeon Chung, and he ended up notching an improbable 7-5, 6-3 win.
Statham had not won an ATP-level match since 2010.
He will face Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round.
25-year-old Chung drops to 0-2 on the season. He fell to Ernests Gulbis in round one at Pune.
