Rafael Nadal is the 2022 Australian Open champion, and the first man to win 21 men's singles Grand Slam titles. And that's not all - join us as we break down the numbers of Nadal's historic triumph.

21 Nadal stands alone atop the men's singles Grand Slam titles list for the first time. He wins his 21st major title, leaving Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer tied for second with 20 majors.

1 Nadal becomes the first man to really from two sets down to win an Australian Open men's singles final in the Open Era.

4 Nadal becomes the fourth man in history to claim the career Grand Slam twice, joining Novak Djokovic, Rod Laver and Roy Emerson.

3 Nadal is the third oldest Australian Open men's singles champion, behind 37-year-old Ken Rosewall in 1972 and 36-year-old Roger Federer in 2018.
