Djokovic announced his plans immediately after his third-round loss at Wimbledon to Sam Querrey.

“No, I'm not going to play Davis Cup,” said the Serb.

Dusan Lajovic, Janko Tipsarevic, Filip Krajinovic and Nenad Zimonjic will lead the Serbs against a British side that includes Andy Murray, Kyle Edmund, Dan Evans and Jamie Murray.

Tomas Berdych will also skip the Czech Republic’s tie against France.
