Andy Murray will not play next week’s Rogers Cup in Toronto. The three-time champions is reportedly off to Mallorca for a last-second training block before he departs for the Rio Olympics.

"I always look forward to coming to Canada and it's the first time I've missed the tournament, the guys there do a great job and always look after the players," Murray said, according to Canada’s Sportsnet. "My body needs some recovery time after reaching the latter stages of tournaments over the past few months. I'm sorry to my fans in Toronto but I look forward to being back in Canada next year."

The Olympics begin on August 6th in Rio, and run until August 14. Murray is the defending Gold medalist in singles.
