Andy Murray Jabs Journalist in Defense of Women



Andy Murray was quick to correct a journalist who incorrectly stated that Sam Querrey was the first American to reach the semifinals of a major since 2009. It isn’t true, technically, because American women are winning majors practically every year, thanks to Serena Williams.

And Murray wanted the journalist to know that. So he told him. Before you bash the journalist, realize that it’s an honest mistake. That said, it was one that Murray thought was worth it to correct. Andy’s a smart guy—maybe we should listen to him on this particular subject.
