Defending Wimbledon champion Garbine Muguruza has a plan for pressure she faces as returning champion.

The third-seeded Spaniard opens her title defense against 6'2" Briton Naomi Broady.

Muguruza, who has contested the Wimbledon final in two of her last three appearances, says her plan for pressure is simple: embrace the pressure and eliminate toxic thoughts from her mind.

"I feel always under pressure in every tournament. Of course, here it adds some extra," Muguruza told the media today. "How do you deal with that? You just try to do your thing. You try not to give so many importance about what if, what's going to happen."

"You just train and get ready," Muguruza said. "This is something that you just start to eliminate thoughts in your mind, especially toxic thoughts. You control a little bit more the situation, and that's it."
