Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from this year’s Coupe Rogers in Montreal. The tournament announced that the 32-year-old four-time champion would miss the event for the second time in three years on Wednesday.

Djokovic has not appeared in Montreal since 2015 when he lost to Andy Murray in the final. The World No.1 has won titles in Montreal in 2007 and 2011, with his two other Rogers Cup titles coming in Toronto in 2012 and 2016.

“I’m sorry to announce that I decided to pull out of Rogers Cup,” Djokovic said in a statement. “With the support of my team, I have decided to give my body longer rest and recovery time before coming back again to play.”

The tournament also announced that Juan Martin del Potro had officially been removed from the tournament’s draw. The Argentine had knee surgery this summer. Richard Gasquet and Mikhail Kukushkin will pull into the main draw as a result.
