Today’s highly anticipated doubles contest between the newly formed pairing of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios and the World No.1 doubles duo of Robert Farah and Juan Sebastian Cabal did not disappoint. Don’t believe us—see below:

Many expected it would be Kyrgios and Tsitsipas that provided the most jaw-dropping shotmaking, but in the end it was Cabal who came through with the most stunning shot. The Colombian drops below the net level and leaves his racquet above as a shield, and somehow he not only makes contact with the ball but plays a miraculously good lob.

Not to be outdone, Kyrgios goes with the ‘tweener on the next point, but by then Cabal had risen and was ready to put away the point with a smash.

In the end the World No.1’s took the match 6-3 3-6 10-5, but not before Tsitsipas and Kyrgios put together some really strong points.

After the match Tsitsipas and Kyrgios talked to reporters and had a lot of kind words for one another. They said they may try to play doubles together again later in the season.
