The Orange County Breakers remained in the playoff hunt in World Team Tennis thanks to a double-header sweep on Monday that leveled their record at 6-6.

The Breakers defeated the Washington Kastles 25-11 on Monday afternoon, then bounced back to defeat the Orlando Storm in dramatic fashion at Breakers Stadium at Palisades Tennis Club, 19-18.
Noah Rubin won a super tiebreak against Evan King after King had forced extra tennis with a 5-1 victory over Rubin.
The Breakers improve to 6-6 and are just one game out of playoff contention. They currently sit behind Springfield, San Diego and New York, who are all 7-5. The top four teams make the playoffs in World Team Tennis and there are only two nights of regular season action—Tuesday and Wednesday—remaining.
In other action on Monday, the New York Empires defeated the Springfield Lasers 22-19 to improve to 7-5 and move into in a three-way tie for second place, while the Vegas Rollers improved to 5-7 with a 21-10 win over the Kastles.
Asia Muhamad and Jovana Jaksic provided a 5-0 whitewashing of Marta Kostyuk and Kaitlyn Christian to power the Rollers to victory.
On Tuesday the Empires (7-5) will host the first place Freedom, while the Breakers (6-6) will travel to Springfield to face the Lasers (7-5).
The Aviators (7-5) will host the Washington Kastles (2-10).
