The Chicago Smash’s 2020 WTT debut season has been simply smashing thus far. Eugenie Bouchard and Tennys Sandgren led Chicago to a 24-19 victory over the Orlando Storm to push the Smash into a tie for first place with the Philadelphia Freedoms.



Bouchard played hero, as she relieved a struggling Sloane Stephens and won four straight games to close a 5-4 win over Danielle Collins. That gave Chicago the 19-15 edge.

“I warmed up, I got into it, and just super proud with how I just kind of handled the tough moments,” sais Bouchard. Elsewhere, Washington defeated Vegas to improve to 3-3 on the season while San Diego knocked off Orange County to also level up their 2020 tally at 3-3.
