Ernests Gulbis may want to spend more time perfecting his racquet breaking technique rather than at playing cards.

ATP: Murray Wins In Queens Club Opener

The Latvian star, now the newest member of the ATP Top 10 after his French Open semifinal run, made his next tournament appearance at Queen's Club in London.

In this interview shot with BBC Sport on Monday, Gulbis reflects about his loss to Novak Djokovic in Paris and his preparations for the grass court swing.

How did Gulbis celebrate his Paris run and making his first ever Grand Slam semifinal? Not with a party as first suggested by the interviewer.

"Not really party, I went to casino to gamble away a percentage of my winnings, so I need to get it back this week," Gulbis said.

"I was a big loser," Gulbis said with a laugh about playing blackjack with his cousin.

While he wouldn't say how much he lost on the tables, Gulbis later jokes he was hoping to make some of his money back while on the London courts.

He may have to hope for better luck in doubles with his partner Alexandr Dolgopolov. Gulbis lost in singles on Tuesday to France's Kenny De Schepper 7-6(3), 7-5.
