Keeping up with the game of tennis, by the numbers. Here’s what went down on week one of Roland Garros, by the numbers.

90-2

Rafael Nadal’s updated record at Roland Garros. The 11-time champion is into the quarter-final round in Paris with a victory over Juan Iganacio Londero and will face either Benoit Paire or Kei Nishikori in the quarter-finals. The Spaniard also moves into fourth place all-time on the ATP Grand Slam quarter-final list with 38. Only Federer (54), Djokovic (44) and Jimmy Connors (41) have more.

29

Number of Grand Slam appearances that Petra Martic needed to reach her first career Grand Slam quarter-final. The Croatian will face Marketa Vondrousova in the quarter-finals.

5:09

The duration of Stan Wawrinka’s five-set victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas on Court Suzanne Lenglen on Sunday. The Swiss saved all eight break points he faced in the third set to set a quarter-final with Roger Federer.

25-5

Marketa Vondrousova’s record since the end of this year’s Australian Open. The 19-year-old Czech carved up Anastasija Sevastova on Sunday, dropping just two games to book her first career major quarter-final. Vondrousova has not dropped a set all tournament.

32/39

Stan Wawrinka has saved 32/39 break points in four rounds. The Swiss saved 22 of 27 in today’s win over Stefanos Tsitsipas. Wawrinka has the second best break points saved percentage among remaining men in the draw. Roger Federer (85 percent: 11/13) has the highest percentage of break points saved.

4-0

Johanna Konta’s record at Roland Garros in 2019. The British No.1 entered this year’s draw with a 0-4 lifetime record in Paris but is through to the quarter-finals to face Sloane Stephens after defeating Donna Vekic on Day 9.

10-1

Sloane Stephens’ record in her last 11 Roland Garros matches. And the only one she lost was last year’s final—where she led by a set and a break. Stephens knocked off 2016 champion Garbiรฑe Muguruza in straight-sets on Sunday.

78

Number of forehand winners struck by Rafael Nadal through four rounds in Paris. The Spaniard leads all players in this category.
