There are now not one but two teenagers inside the ATP’s Top-30.

Tennis Express

After his breakout Grand Slam performance at Roland-Garros, where he lost to Casper Ruud in four sets in the quarter-finals, Denmark’s Holger Rune has cracked the Top-30 for the first time. He rises 12 spots to No.28, and is the biggest riser inside the ATP’s Top-50 in the post Roland-Garros ATP rankings.

Rune joins World No.7 Carlos Alcaraz as one of two teenagers inside the ATP’s Top-100. There are four other players aged 20 in the ATP’s Top-100 – No.12 Jannik Sinner, No.57 Lorenzo Musetti, No.64 Brandon Nakashimi and No.79 Jiri Lehecka.

Rune wasn’t the only Scandinavian making noise in the rankings either this week. Norway’s Casper Ruud jumped two spots to a career-high ranking of No.6, thanks to his appearance in the Roland-Garros final. Ruud is the biggest jumper inside the ATP’s Top-10, and he has a good spot at cracking the Top-5 next week, according to the ATP’s Pepperstone ATP Live Rankings.

Cilic up to 17 - his highest ranking since 2019

On the strength of his trip to the semifinals in Paris, Croatia’s Marin Cilic climbs back into the Top-20 and reaches his highest ranking since the week of August 12, 2019.

The 33-year-old former World No.3 fell in the semi-finals to Casper Ruud in Paris, 6-3, 4-6, 2-6, 2-6.

Zapata Miralles Biggest Riser - Cracks Top-100

Spain’s Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the 25-year-old Spaniard who reached the round of 16 through qualifying at Roland-Garros, rises to No.97 in the ATP rankings. Zapata Miralles is the 11th-ranked Spaniard on the ATP Tour at the moment.

Djokovic at Top - but Not Next Week

Novak Djokovic begins his 373rd week at the Top of the ATP rankings, but the Serb will not be there next week. The Roland-Garros ranking points drop off on June 13, which means that there will be considerable upheaval at that time.
