Saturday’s final between World No.1 Iga Swiatek and rising 18-year-old Coco Gauff promises to be a blockbuster - and a glimpse into the future of women’s tennis.

Swiatek has already emerged as the dominant force in tennis. Three years after Gauff first surface on the Grand Slam scene, the Floridian is angling for a colossal breakthrough.

Here is a look inside the numbers of their highly anticipated final:

34 Swiatek’s current winning streak hit 34 when she toppled Russian Daria Kasatkina in the semifinals on Thursday. It is the second longest win streak of the 21st century, since Venus Williams reeled off 35 straight wins in 2000.

2001 Gauff is the youngest Roland Garros finalist in 21 years, since Kim Clijsters in 2001.

41-6 Swiatek improves to 41-6 on clay for her career. The 2020 Roland-Garros champion is a dominant force on the surface.

15-0 Swiatek’s record on clay in 2022.

2009 The last time a teenager defeated a No.1-ranked player at a Slam. That was Petra Kvitova defeating Dinara Safina at the 2009 US Open.

4 A teenager has defeated the No.1-ranked player in the Roland-Garros women's singles final four times: 1997 Majoli d. Hingis 1990 Seles d. Graf 1989 Sánchez-Vicario d. Graf 1987 Graf d. Navratilova.

7 Number of players that have won the singles and doubles titles at Roland-Garros: Billie Jean King in 1972, Margaret Court in 1973, Chris Evert in 1974-75, Virginia Ruzici in 1978, Martina Navratilova in 1982 and 1984 and Mary Pierce in 2000, Krejcikova 2021.

Gauff, who will play the doubles final alongside Jessica Pegula, is bidding to be the eighth.

2006 Swiatek is bidding to become the youngest player to win multiple Slam titles since Maria Sharapova at US Open in 2006.

28-9 Gauff’s lifetime record on clay. The American is also 11-2 lifetime at Roland-Garros.
