Second Serve

Rafael Nadal came to life late in the first set of his BNP Paribas Open semifinal with Kei Nishikori. After falling behind by a break, Nadal saved two break points to avoid going double-break down. The Spaniard, in search of his first Top-10 win of the season, rallied to snatch five of the final six games, and really came into his own on the final two points of the set.

He produced two vintage Nadal points to claim the set, 6-4 (see video above).

He’s already up a break in set two against Nishikori as well.

Could this be the turning point that Nadal has been looking for?

Stay tuned for a full recap after the match.
