Elina Svitolina has boundless energy—anyone that has ever watched her compete on a tennis court can quickly recognize this fact—and now she’s putting some of her energy to a good cause in Texas.
Svitolina launched her new foundation on Monday in Dallas. According to the foundation’s website, “the mission of the Elina Svitolina Foundation is to encourage children, through the sport of tennis, to learn the values of hard work, self-discipline and the importance of giving 100 percent every day in life. The foundation will help create opportunities through scholarships, after-school programs, camps, and special events.”
Former U.S. President George W Bush and U.S. Davis Cup Captain both released congratulatory messages to Svitolina.
