Video: Ballkid Does Face Plant in Rome as Venus Williams Looks on



It wasn’t this poor ballkid’s day at the Internazionali BNL D’Italia in Rome. Watch as the young man does an epic face plant and passes out for a bit before being attended to and carried off by crew.

It happened just two games into Venus Williams’ match with fellow American CoCo Vandeweghe, making the events all the more strange.

Perhaps this young man had a few too many Aperol spritz cocktails last night?

Williams went on to win, 6-4, 6-3.

No word on the status of the ballkid, but we’re assuming that no news is good news in this case.
