Nadal, Goffin and the Game of the Season?



Those who saw this game live need no introduction, but if you weren’t watching the seventh game of the second set of Rafael Nadal’s 7-6(3), 6-2 victory over David Goffin, here is your chance to get acquainted with the sublime shotmaking during that game.

Thanks to our good friends of Tennis TV, the above video was carved up and placed on social media so it could be watched, enjoyed and gasped over again and again.

“I think it was a very good match, nice level, nice to watch,” Nadal said afterwards. “I think both Goffin and me, we played at a really high level.”

No kidding!

Nadal moves on to face Novak Djokovic in the semifinals tomorrow. The pair will meet for the 50th time, more than any other rivalry in ATP history.
