Grigor Dimitrov will make his first appearance at the U.S. Men’s Clay Court in Houston since 2011. The Bulgarian, who finished 2019 with a ranking of 20 thanks to a semifinal appearance at the US Open, has not won a title on clay since 2014. He owns eight ATP titles overall.

Dimitrov, 28, lost in the second round of his only previous appearance at the event. He owns a 65-48 lifetime record on clay.

Dimitrov joins three previously announced players in the 2020 singles field at the River Oaks Country Club: 20-year-old Casper Ruud who was the 2019 US clay runner-up, 21-year-old American Frances Tiafoe and two-time finalist Sam Querrey.

Record-setting twins Bob and Mike Bryan will headline the River Oaks doubles field. The six-time Houston champions have announced that 2020 will be their final ATP season—they will play their last event at the 2020 US Open.
