Pliskova shared a photo of her new team—practicing social distancing on court—captioned "Team Pliskova 2021." The image shows Pliskova standing between trainer Azuz Simcich and Bajin.

Bajin, who coached Naomi Osaka to two Grand Slam titles, has also served as hitting partner for Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki. The 36-year-old earned WTA Coach of the Year honors in 2018.

Most recently, Bajin coached Dayana Yastremska. The pair parted company last summer.

Pliskova split from coach Dani Valverdu earlier this month.

The former world No. 1 was coached by Conchita Martinez and Rennae Stubbs in 2019. ESPN analyst Stubbs has said expanding the spins of the Czech's second serve and asserting her aggression at net where some of the areas they aimed to improve in Pliskova's game.
