Second Serve

One only needs to watch ten seconds of last night’s highlights from the Grigor Dimitrov vs. Benoit Paire match to know that all isn’t quite right in Dimitrov’s head. Click on the video embedded in the Tweet below to bear witness:

Paire notched the 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Dimitrov. Some of the tennis was actually played at a high level, but Dimitrov’s disappearing act in the final set (he won 19 of 49 points) was really quite strange. After the match it looks as if Paire asks Dimitrov if he is okay. Dimitrov appears to ignore and hurry off to his chair.

Dimitrov won a career-best 50 matches in 2014, but this year he's slumed to 28-19.
