Rafael Nadal is spreading his love of red-clay courts—and first-class resorts—to Mexico.

The king of clay recently visited the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre in Costa Mujeres, Mexico.

More: 5 Reasons Rafa Nadal is GOAT

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre provides high-performance tennis training in a tropical paradise on the grounds of two five-star resorts—the TRS Coral Hotel, which is for adults only, and Grand Palladium Resort & Spa, catering to families.

It empowers visitors to take a deep dive into the Nadal tennis training methodology on eight pristine red clay courts, including four covered courts, a full soccer field, paddle courts, a gym for warm-ups, stretches and basic training.

“I would say that it’s difficult to find any other sports facility equal to it in the entire region,” Nadal said of the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre. “Where after practicing sports, tennis, you have a hotel that matches the level of TRS or Grand Palladium right next door.”

The Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre is open and ready to welcome guests back.

To ensure safety, the Palladium Hotel Group launched free medical care insurance, Stay Safe Plus, created to protect guests against any unforeseen circumstances of the current Coronavirus pandemic. The hotel group's health and safety protocols are certified by SGS, the world's leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification services company.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion said the love and support he’s received in Mexico gives him the feeling of a second home.

“The language really brings us together,” Nadal said. “And the truth is that people treated me more like a Mexican each time I came. I felt the unconditional support of the entire Mexican public. And it’s a place I’d like to return to many more times even in my career.

“I’ve been able to go back year after year and the truth is that makes me very, very happy.”
