ATP Announces Charity Event During World Tour Finals

The 2014 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals will kick off on Friday, Sept. 7 with an event to benefit One for the Boys, a charity in support of male cancer awareness. The ATP announced the evening Tuesday, and The Official Launch will kick off the final ATP event of the year. Sponsored by Moët & Chandon, it will feature all eight singles players and doubles teams plus a who's who list of celebrities.

The charity is led by actor Samuel L. Jackson, who stated that One for the Boys is "humbled" to be partnering with the ATP World Tour Finals.

"It’s an amazing opportunity to work with the world’s leading male tennis players, who are so acutely aware of their health status," he added. "This partnership will unite the world’s men through sport, providing a platform to encourage men to talk, act and prioritize their health where cancer is concerned.“

“This year’s launch event will kick off the tournament in style, giving fans the opportunity to see all our top players in a new light, playing alongside numerous well-known personalities." ATP Executive Chairman and President Chris Kermode said. "It promises to be a truly special occasion, and we hope the fans will come out in their numbers to support this great cause just two days before the tournament gets underway."

Tickets to The Official Launch are available to those who bought tickets through AXS.co.uk, and will go on sale to the public on Sept. 18 at www.BarclaysATPWorldTourFinals.com.
