Would the world No. 8 consider a career in coaching or serve as a future Fed Cup captain?

"I really don't see myself without tennis," Pennetta said in this interview with her adidas, her apparel and shoe sponsor. "Of course I will not be a player anymore in the future. But I would love to be involved in tennis because I think I can give something to the young people, to everyone, so why not?"

Coming to grips with winning her first career Grand Slam title in her 49th major tournament has left the 33-year-old Pennetta feel as if she's living a waking dream.

"I think I'm still dreaming. I don't know if I'm awake or not," Pennetta said. "I don't know if it's real or not. Maybe in a few days I'm gonna realize what really happened."
