Dunlop Signs on With New York Open

Dunlop gained a Big Apple boost with Kevin Anderson's inspired run to the US Open final earlier this month.

Dunlop will now be a major player in New York tennis for years to come.

Dunlop has reached a multi-year agreement with GF Sports, LLC and its New York Open to be the official ball, racquet and string for the new ATP Tour event.

Dunlop Fort All Court balls will be used for play, Dunlop stringing machines will be used to string player racquets, and Dunlop will have a retail presence at the tournament, which runs from February 11-18, 2018.

The tournament will be hosted at the NYCB LIVE Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

“Dunlop sponsors some of the biggest ATP tournaments across the globe, including Rome, Madrid, Monte Carlo and Shanghai,” said Kai Nitsche, V.P. and General Manager for Dunlop Sports. “So when the opportunity presented itself to sponsor this new event in New York, we were fully prepared to commit. This is going to be a great opportunity to introduce our legendary Fort ball and new Dunlop Srixon racquets to the largest media market in the U.S.”

When Anderson reached the final of the 2017 U.S. Open it marked the first Grand Slam final for a player using a Dunlop racquet since 2014. Anderson plays the Dunlop Srixon CX 2.0 Tour LE racquet, which has previously only been available in Japan.

It will be available for sale this week in the U.S
