NEW YORK—Serena Williams plans on expanding her family—after her playing days are done.
Daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian turned one yesterday.

After advancing to her 15th US Open quarterfinal in 18 career Flushing Meadows' appearances today, Williams said right now she's focusing on tennis and spending time her daughter, but does plan to have more children.
"I have obviously thought of having more kids, and it will happen, God willing, in time," Serena told the media. "I think everything is going to happen in time.
"Right now it's not time yet because I'm thinking about playing tennis and enjoying this time with Olympia. And then I'll have plenty, plenty of time in the future to hopefully, I don't know, to see, to add to that."
The youngest of five sisters, Serena said she's like to have children close in age.
"Actually I think it's good to have them close to each other," Serena said. "After Olympia, then maybe I'll do the next, God willing, two close to each other."
