21-year-old Garbine Muguruza saved nine set points in what many consider to be the best set of this year’s Championships, then rallied for a 7-6(12), 1-6, 6-2 upset over red-hot Angelique Kerber to reach the second week for the first time at SW19.

Muguruza was down 3-0 at one point, and had to get through a 15-minute game to force the tiebreaker.

The 83-minute set left both players a bit gassed. Kerber would respond with a breezy middle set to force a decider, but Muguruza responded to grab the third set and book her first fourth-round appearance at Wimbledon.

The victory over Kerber is Muguruza’s second in the last two majors. The Spaniard defeated Kerber in the third round at Roland Garros as well.

Radwanska, Keys Advance

Agnieszka Radwanska improved to 10-2 on grass this year, cruising past Australia’s Casey Dellacqua to book a spot in the round of 16 where she could face Petra Kvitova.

American Madison Keys powered past Tatjana Maria, 6-4, 6-4, to join a quartet of American women in the round of 16. Keys struck 9 aces and saved all three break points she faced. She also out-winnered Maria 33 to 9 to reach the second week at Wimbledon for the first time.
