Milos Raonic continues to dominate in St. Petersburg. The Canadian moved into his second final of 2015 (and first since his first tournament of the year) with a 6-2, 7-6(2) victory over Roberto Bautista Agut on Saturday.

Raonic continued his hot serving against the Spaniard, saving both break points he faced and only dropping 5 of 44 first-serve points over the course of the one hour and 28 minute contest.

“I thought he played much better in the second set,” said Raonic. “He took away a lot of opportunities for me and he had one at the beginning of the set. I’m happy with the way I managed the situation.”

Raonic has held in each of his 28 service games in St. Petersburg, and his 19 aces on the day give him 43 for the tournament thus far. He has saved all four break point he has faced and only dropped 14 first-serve points in his three straight-sets wins in Russia.

Next up for Raonic will be seventh-seeded Joao Sousa in the final. Sousa snapped a three-match losing streak to Dominic Thiem with a 6-4, 7-6(5) victory to reach his third final of the season. The World No. 53 has earned a career-best 31 wins on the season.

He jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set on Thiem and held on, serving the set out after facing a break point in the tenth game.

The players traded breaks in the second set, before Thiem took a 5-3 lead in the second-set tiebreaker with an ace down the T. But Sousa battled back to win the final four points to clinch his first career win over Thiem.

Raonic and Sousa have met twice with the Canadian taking both victories on clay (2011 Estoril, 2015 Monte-Carlo).
