Four straight finals and three titles in the last four years. The Open Sud de France has been good to Richard Gasquet.

The Frenchman capped off another scintillating title run in Montpellier on Sunday by taking down 34-year-old Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu in the tournament’s third all-French final, 7-5, 6-4.

Mathieu had a 3-0 lead in the opener and served for the set despite blowing that lead, but Gasquet reeled of the final three games of the set to take the lead.

In the second set Gasquet saved both break points he faced in a critical eighth game and went on to close affairs in one hour and 48 minutes.

Gasquet earns his 13th career title and improves to 6-2 lifetime over Mathieu.

Mate Pavic and Michael Venus took the doubles title, 7-5, 7-6(4), over brothers Mischa and Sascha Zverev.
