He just keeps winning.

Andy Murray continued his torrid tennis and furthered his late-season push for the No. 1 ranking with a 6-3, 7-6(6) victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Erste Bank Open final in Vienna.

Murray wins his fifth in a row against the Frenchman and improves to 14-2 lifetime against Tsonga.

The Scotsman has now won 15 consecutive matches and 28 of his last 30 sets. He claimed his career-best seventh title, matching Novak Djokovic for the ATP lead.

Murray pulls within 415 points of Djokovic in the Race to London standings and can pass the Serb and become No.1 for the first time in his career by winning the title in Vienna, if Djokovic does not reach the final.

Murray dropped just six points in the opening set and made an early break stand up.

He took a break lead in set two but Tsonga rallied to make it close.

The Frenchman saw his chances to reach the World Tour Finals in London take a hit, but he still remains in contention. He is currently 720 points behind Marin Cilic for the 8th and final spot, after Cilic padded his lead by winning Basel today.

Murray improves to 69-9 on the season and 39-6 on hardcourts with the win. He is 8-0 lifetime in Vienna and now owns 42 career titles overall.
