Second time’s a charm.

After only managing to get one game of his first-round match with Canada’s Vasek Pospisil under his belt on Tuesday due to rain, Novak Djokovic returned to center court at the Aegon International to record an impressive 6-4, 6-3 victory.

Playing on grass prior to Wimbledon for the first time since 2010, Djokovic looked very comfortable, saving all three break points he faced and breaking the hard-serving Canadian twice on five opportunities to claim his 25th match win of the season against seven losses.

“I’ll keep going,” said Djokovic. “Wimbledon is just around the corner but all my focus is on this week.”

He added: “You have to try to use every minute of your time on the court with the most quality that you can, focus on footwork, and obviously serve is the key.”

Djokovic penetrated the serve of Pospisil in the tenth game of the opening stanza to claim the opening set, and after saving a break point in the fifth game of the second set he broke for 4-2.

To save the break point at 2-2 in the second set, Djokovic played an incredible defensive point, tracking down a scorched Pospisil forehand to prolong the point before replying to another aggressive Pospisil forehand with a forehand winner of his own.

Djokovic quickly earned two break points in the next game and broke when a frustrated Pospisil netted a forehand.

Despite 10 aces from Pospisil, Djokovic was still able to win 23 of 33 first-serve return points and managed to connect on a few stunning returns—a good sign for him as the Wimbledon fortnight approaches.

The World No.4, who has now won all 11 sets he has played against Pospisil, held serve in the final two games to clinch victory in one hour and 25 minutes.

He will face American Donald Young in the quarterfinals on Thursday
