1991

Coco Gauff has become the youngest player to reach the third round at Wimbledon in 28 years. Jennifer Capriati reached the semi-finals in that year, losing to Gabriela Sabatini in the last four. Capriati also reached the round of 16 a year earlier before falling to Graf.

Gauff can crack the Top 150 with a win today. She entered Wimbledon at 313.

2008

The last time that two Russian players reached the round of 16 on the men’s singles side (Safin, Youzhny). Daniil Medvedev and Karen Khachanov will look to change that statistic today.

13

4

Number of players that have reached the third round in singles without dropping serve. Kevin Anderson, Sam Querrey, Johanna Konta and Wang Qiang have all yet to be broken. Querrey (11/11) has faced the most break points of the four. Wang (1/1) has faced the least.

39

9

Of the 54 different men’s singles Grand Slam champions in the Open Era, only nine have won their first major at Wimbledon (compared with 11 at the Australian Open, 21 at Roland Garros and 13 at the U.S. Open).

3

Number of teenagers that have reached the third round in singles at Wimbledon—Felix-Auger Aliassime, Coco Gauff and Dayana Yastremska.

67-10
