Contesting her second career final, Karolina Muchova was in no mood for coming up second best.

The third-seeded Muchova thrashed Magda Linette, 6-1, 6-1 blasting to her first career championship in 68 minutes in the Seoul final.

The 23-year-old Muchova is the third Czech champion in Seoul following Nicole Vaidisova (2005) and Karolina Pliskova (2014).

In July, Muchova toppled Pliskova en route to her first major quarterfinal at Wimbledon.

Muchova followed that inspired run reaching the Bronx quarterfinals where she fell to Linette in a thriller, 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(3).

Today's rematch was all Muchova, who broke twice in succession powering out a 4-0 lead.

The fourth-seeded Linette had won 15 of her last 17 matches, including a 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Camila Giorgi to lift her first title trophy in the Bronx last month before the US Open. Linette could not match Muchova's urgency or intensity today.

Muchova broke five times roaring to her first career title surrendering just one set in five tournament victories.
