Facing a Top 25 player for the first time this season, Muller converted three of 10 break points in a one hour, 53-minute victory.

The 26-year-old Frenchman, who upset sixth-seeded compatriot Richard Gasquet in his opener, will play either 87th-ranked Aussie Christopher O'Connell or Pavel Kotov for a spot in his first final.

No. 2-seeded Dan Evans saved two of three break points in a 6-3, 7-5 win over Italian qualifier Andrea Vavassori.

Evans, who snapped a six-match losing streak with his second-round win over Alexi Popyrin, will play Roberto Carballes Baena in tomorrow's semifinals. Carballes Baena beat Tallon Griekspoor 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
