Keys improves to 9-2 lifetime over Kasatkina, claiming the pair’s first ever grass meeting in dramatic fashion in a 28-point second-set tiebreaker that saw the Russian hold four set points before Keys finally converted match point No.5.

Keys improves to 40-13 lifetime on grass with her seventh career title. She defeated three Top-30 players on her journey, knocking of No.30-ranked Petra Martic 6-4, 6-1 in the quarterfinals before toppling 7th-ranked Coco Gauff 6-3 6-3 in the semis.

Keys had not notched a Top-10 win on grass since 2014 prior to this week.

Kasatkina will return to the Top-10 as a result of her trip to the final. The 26-year-old will face Caroline Dolehide in round one at Wimbledon, while Keys will face British wild card Sonay Kartal.

Both Keys (2015) and Kasatkina (2018) are former Wimbledon quarterfinalists.
