The Bryan Brothers dug the Americans out of their 2-0 hole against Great Britain on Saturday, but there is much work to be done in San Diego.

Mike and Bob Bryan did what they usually do on Saturday against Colin Fleming and Dominic Inglot—they won, and convincingly.

Thanks to their effort, the American Davis Cup team is still alive in their World Group tie against Great Britain.

The Americans now trail their best-of-five Davis Cup tie with Great Britain 2-1, and will need victories from Sam Querrey and Donald Young on Sunday to advance.

The odds won't be working in the American's favor. Team U.S.A. owns a record of 1-38 in series in which they have dropped the first two rubbers, with the only win coming in 1934 against Australia.

The Bryans 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory is their 21st as a team in Davis Cup and it their sixth in which the Americans have trailed 2-0 heading into a Saturday doubles rubber.

"We love playing Davis Cup," said Mike. "We still believe."

On Saturday, the Bryans dominated the first two sets before suffering a hiccup in the third.

But before Inglot and Fleming could capitalize on their newfound momentum, the Americans had broken Inglot twice to take a 5-1 lead in set four.

With the crowd decidedly more vociferous than it was during Friday's singles rubbers, Bob Bryan served the match out, with the twins converting on their first match point when Mike put away a smash at the net.

"We just stayed solid," said Bob. "It was a really cool atmosphere."
