The doubles gift that keeps on giving doesn't seem to ever give an inch on the tennis court.

Mike and Bob Bryan claimed their 97th career title at the Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship, rallying to take down David Marrero and Fernando Verdasco, 4-6, 6-4, 11-9, in the final.

The Bryans added to their stellar history in Houston with their 5th title and their 31st victory against only 7 losses.

The title is the fourth in succession for the Bryan Brothers. They've now reeled off 17 straight victories, sandwiching their first career Indian Wells-Miami double around titles in Delray Beach and  Houston.

The Bryans improved to 5-1 over the Spanish pair, and ended Verdasco's bid to win singles and doubles at the same event for the first time in his career.

"It was a match that could have gone either way," Bob Bryan told ATPworldtour.com. "They kept us off balance all day with great serving and huge forehands."

Verdasco will go after the singles title this afternoon in Houston when he meets fellow Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in the final.
