Both Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov impressed in different ways at Wimbledon as they edge closer to a potential quarterfinal meeting.

Wimbledon: Kvitova Wins Serving Battle Versus Venus

Defending champion Murray faced off against No. 23 seed Robert Bautista Agut of Spain on Centre Court. Bautista Agut, one of the tour's fastest rising players, entered with a recent seven-match win streak that included claiming his first ATP title in 's-Hertogenbosch.

But all that winning didn't matter to Murray who produced yet another comprehensive performance at his home slam. Murray struck 43 winners to just 18 from his opponent along with saving the two lone break points against his serve.

To the delight of his appreciative local fans, Murray soon wrapped up the 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 win.

"He's the best opponent I've played so far, and as a step up I felt I responded well. There's a few things I could improve on but it's a good first week," Murray said later to BBC Sport.

Next up for Murray will be Kevin Anderson. The 20th seed defeated Fabio Fognini 4-6, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Dimitrov Stages Come From Behind Win Versus Dolgopolov

A few years ago, No. 11 seed Dimitrov was highly touted as a player to watch. But his fitness and stamina often got in the way of him winning several long matches. But he answered that question mark Friday with a come from behind win in the third round.

No. 21 seed Alexandr Dolgopolov used his entertaining style of spins and funky shotmaking to take hold of a two sets to one lead over Dimitrov. Yet the Bulgarian roared back to take both the fourth and fifth sets clinching a 6-7(3), 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 win.

Here are some of the highlights of their entertaining battle.

Dimitrov will face Argentina's Leonardo Mayer in the next round.

In a match that ended at 9:38 p.m. London time, Marin Cilic upset No. 6 seed Tomas Berdych 7-6(5), 6-4, 7-6(6). Organizers confirmed that the contest was the latest ever outdoor match at the tournament.
