Guillermo Garcia-Lopez proved to be yet another shining example that 30 is the new 20 on the ATP Tour, as the Spaniard won his first title since 2010 at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca, coming back from a set down to defeat compatriot Marcel Granollers, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

Garcia-Lopez joins David Ferrer, Lleyton Hewitt and Roger Federer as the fourth over-30 winner on the ATP Tour this season. The victory gives him three titles for his career.

The World No. 53 only dropped five points on serve in the final set, and took six of the final seven games. After surrendering the opening break of the decider, Garcia-Lopez broke Granollers twice to close out the victory in two hours and thirty-eight minutes.

The final was the second all-Spanish final to take place in Casablanca in the last three years, and Garcia-Lopez becomes the eighth Spanish player to lift the trophy, and the fifth in six years.
